School Attendance

Minimize

The school districts publish boundary maps of properties that they serve. These maps are often independant of the city boundaries and can cause confusion when trying to determine which property is served by which school district. The links below can take you directly to each school district's website so that you can download the most recent boundary map.

Most children in the area follow the path through the local school systems as follows:
1. Pre-school: This is a private school situation usually for children in the ages of four to six years of age and is preperatory to Kindergarten.
2. Elementary School: This can be private or public. Public schools are grades K through 5. Private schools often have K through 8th grade.
3. Middle School: The Public schools have grades 6 through 8th.
4. High School: Grades 9 through 12.

The lists of school codes for the schools that serve each area are published under each school district. These codes are used to distinguish which school is primarily serving a particular property and can be found on the Multiple Listing Service listings page that a realtor may forward to you. Some of the website property search engines also show these codes.

Remember that a primary school for a property may not have open enrollment when a child's application is forwarded to the school. Even thought the local schools are well known to take all residents residing in the boundaries of each school, one can not be guaranteed of this situation due to the many factors that influence a school districts open enrollment policies. Please check with the school district before entering into a purchase contract.
